Yuni Kim Lang – Visual Artist Extraordinaire

Yuni Kim Lang is an amazing visual artist from Michigan who is currently exploring the theme of hair through sculpture, photography and wearable art.

Using rope and synthetic materials, Yuni creates beautiful and evocative pieces.

I am especially smitten with her sculpture series entitled Comfort Hair.

Yuni describes this series as “So powerful and beautiful yet so burdensome and heavy. It is this intense, overwhelmling, yet so satisfying relationship with our hair that makes us obsess over it.”

I love coming across innovative artists like Yuni who are helping redefine how we feel about our hair and adornments.
